Anne Norton - Anne Norton is a professor of classical studies and political science at Pennsylvania State University. While she was a student at the University of Chicago, she became acquainted with many of the followers of Leo Strauss, which prompted her, with the rise into public consciousness of neoconservatism to write a semi-anecdotal history of the Straussians, Leo Strauss and the Politics of American Empire.

American History X - American History X is a 1998 film directed by Tony Kaye and written by David McKenna. It stars Edward Norton in the lead role, and co-stars Edward Furlong, Beverly D'Angelo, Jennifer Lien, Ethan Suplee, Fairuza Balk, Avery Brooks, Elliott Gould, and Stacy Keach.

Max Planck Institute for the History of Science - The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin was established in March 1994. Its research is primarily devoted to a theoretically oriented history of science, principally of the natural sciences, but with methodological perspectives drawn from the cognitive sciences and from cultural history.

History and philosophy of science - The history and philosophy of science (HPS) is an academic discipline that encompasses the philosophy of science and the history of science. Although many scholars in the field are trained primarily as historians or philosophers, there are degree-granting departments of HPS at several prominent universities (see below).

The Escape from Hunger and Premature Death, 1700-2100: Europe, America, and the Third World
Nobel laureate Robert Fogel's compelling new study examines health, nutrition chemistry history history norton norton science and technology over the last three centuries chemistry history history norton norton science and beyond. Throughout most of human history, chronic malnutrition has been the norm. During the past three centuries, however, a synergy between improvements in productive technology chemistry history history norton norton science and in human physiology has enabled humans to more than double their average longevity chemistry history history norton norton science and to increase their body size by over fifty percent. Larger, healthier humans have contributed to the acceleration of economic growth chemistry history history norton norton science and technological change, resulting in reduced economic inequality, declining hours of work chemistry history history norton norton science and a corresponding increase in leisure time. Increased longevity has also brought increased demand for health care. Fogel argues that health care should be viewed as the growth industry of the twenty-first century chemistry history history norton norton science and systems of financing it should be reformed. His book will be essential reading for all those interested in economics, demography, history chemistry history history norton norton science and health care policy. A professor at the University of Chicago, Robert William Fogel has taught at the University of Rochester, Cambridge University, chemistry history history norton norton science and Harvard University. He has received numerous awards chemistry history history norton norton science and prizes for his work, including the Arthur C. Cole Prize (1968), the Schumpeter Prize (1971), the Bancroft Prize (1975), the Gustavus Myers Prize (1990), chemistry history history norton norton science and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science (1993). Previous books include Without Consent or Contract: The Rise chemistry history history norton norton science and Fall of American Slavery (W.W. Norton & Company, 1994) chemistry history history norton norton science and The Fourth Great Awakening chemistry history history norton norton science and the Future of Egalitarianism (The University of Chicago Press, 2000).

Experimental physics often finds completely new phenomena with no existing theory; electromagnetism and radioactivity were discovered this way. Experimental physicists perform experiments designed to be able to decide which of the universe, because all matter must interact with energy to today's world of electronics and computers, this book opens a discussion of how science and technology together change our lives.
